Great little prequel story that follows some of the characters from book one of the series (Agents of Fate) when they are younger. The story has some hints and easter eggs in it that definitely point to things to come in the main storyline. I really like that about the series as a whole! It lets you enjoy the story and formulate theories on what is going to happen next. The characters are enjoyable to read about, even as children (in this book). This is a free e-book that you get for signing up for the email newsletter, so it’s a short and sweet read… but it definitely has substance that relates to the overall story.
